It appears to have a lot of the bells and whistles a landlord might be looking for in a rental property.

We last chattered about this vintage 2-bedroom brick workman’s cottage at 3554 S. Union in Bridgeport in July 2009.

Shortly thereafter, it went under contract and sold in August 2009 after being reduced by $89,000.
It had hardwood floors, an updated kitchen and bath and a lush backyard with a garage.

Bridgeport is the oldest neighborhood in Chicago and this 2-bedroom cottage bungalow at 820 W. 33rd Place reflects that as it was built in 1888.

Bridgeport is the oldest neighborhood in Chicago. Unfortunately, not much of its historic past has been preserved.
But that’s not the case with this 1898 workman’s cottage at 3554 S. Union. Its brick exterior exhudes vintage but inside it has all the modern amenities.
