See our prior chatter here.

After 21 months on the market, it finally sold for $600,000 under the original list price.

Built on a 25×169 lot, the house was unique as it had an indoor pool, spa and covered lanai.

This house is just down the street from the $2.9 million house at 1424 W. Ohio we chattered about in March 2011. See that chatter here.

Mary Haight at @Properties had the listing.

i like the last 5 comments, from different postees, on the previous chat, all with glowing orgasmic praises and excessive use of the exclamation point. No way someone on the sell side would ever come on cribchatter in disguise.. Never!

  4. Agreed Gringozecarioca, but allow me an edit:

No way someone on cribchatter would comment with all glowing orgasmic praises, let alone 5 consecutive posts.

Heck, we cannot get 5 consecutive posts that actually talk about the featured property before sidetracking into economics, schools, clio’s lambo and shadow inventory. 😀

  5. seems like a good pick up for someone who likes that part of town. Wasn’t fond of the interior but big lot and the pool make this a nice deal for the final sales price.

Not even 4 consecutive counting posts about CC posts, which might contribute less than the lambo.

Probably pseudonyms for Max Eydelman who posted:

“I don’t think the price is inconsistent with the neighborhood – we’ve done quite a few SFH in that price range.”

“I think the price is pretty reasonable.”

  13. Dan, I’m afraid your anti-semitic delusions have led you astray.

I said that the pricing was consistent with the 2009 pricing of similarly sized homes, and the indoor pool is a relatively unique feature so its value is hard to gauge.

2009 was a terrible year for high-end real estate in Chicagoland, so it’s unsurprising that this property languished, since the value of such an expensive feature will be different buyer-by-buyer.

Besides that, I would have absolutely no motive to post these comments “with glowing orgasmic praises and excessive use of the exclamation point”

    so there.

  14. Criticize someone with a Jewish-sounding name = anti-semitic. A sign of the times…

  15. Jerry you have not read his former posts. Max is not making this comment based on this single incident.
