  1. I think drywalling or plastering or whatever to that god awful brown brick would do some wonders for this place

  2. I kind of like the brown brick, but that much exposed brick always makes me nervous about tuckpointing and insulation issues.

good deal on a nice house, in an awful gang neighborhood. THis is one of those nieghborhoods I think will eventually turn in 15/20 years. It’s been trying to turn during teh the bubble but its just a little too on the outskirts.

  5. Exposed brick may look nice to some but a below grade room with no insulation is going to be an absolute icebox in the winter.

  6. I cannot believe this sold for almost half a million in 08.

  7. All that exposed brick – I’d feel like I was living in a garage. Drywall would help this unit a lot.

Despite half of it being below grade, it seems pretty bright. Nice street, too. But still priced too high.

  8. It does kind of seem that this place could use $10k of drywall work. I’m not sure that it’s that bad of a price – clearly priced to sell versus the 2008 price. I think that this is in Hamilton, so not terrible but clearly not as good as many of the surrounding district.

Where was it that I saw it looked like they were going to put up 5 or so of them in a row? Someplace east of the Kennedy. I’ll remember later.

  10. Might look cool to paint all the brick white, then it would look like a bright gallery space.

  11. I think that much brick can be cool. It would be a crime to paint or plaster over it. I DO think this place is priced about 50k too much. I say it will sell around $330k

who likes sleeping in a basement? the downstairs bedrooms look like a detention center or holding cell.

…and a great view out the windows too. What’s not to like about dirt?
