Hi,
I’ve been in this building a bunch of times- If my memory is correct, the entry to the building has an odd indoor/outdoor courtyard with outside metal stairs to the various floors, like a motel….Anyone recall if this is the same building?
There is an elevator to each floor but they you have to walk outside to the unit’s door…..
This is another one that sounds great from the description but doesn’t look great in the pics.
I thought it was going to be a great deal, but its kind of dissapointing looking on the inside, I guess the price reflects that
two of the same unit sold last year for $450k.
still willing to sponsor a cribchatter happy hour(s) on fridays!! La Grande Vie – 215 e chestnut (next to water tower place).
I’ll pay 20% of anyone’s bill tonight – just mention “clio”. there will be a prize for anyone who correctly guesses the individual identities of the chatteratti…..
You might get a better turnout when its not 15 degrees outside
David…this is the building with the funky open middle courtyard. Quite an unusual interior to the building.
20% You cheapskate. You host, you pay. HD is going to avoid this ‘partay’
Did anyone show up last time CLIO?
“HD is going to avoid this ‘partay’”
Wife said ‘no’, eh?
20% is pretty good – it is more than the average seller takes off the listing price!!
“Did anyone show up last time CLIO?”
One person showed up but he wouldn’t tell me who he was – despite me buying him drinks….
“One person showed up but he wouldn’t tell me who he was – despite me buying him drinks….”
Bob!
“20% You cheapskate. You host, you pay. HD is going to avoid this ‘partay’”
another incentive to join this party?
Hmm, my bat sense is tingling. If clio’s buying that might mean he’s no longer getting crushed. If he’s spending frivolously his longs may have bottomed, zirp may be working. . . .
Nahh. A better signal that the re market’s going higher is when clio offers to pick up the whole tab. Until then, sit tight old chums.
Thanks Buster!
For 2400 sq ft this place sure seems cramped from the photos. The stairs eat into the living room, the kitchen looks tiny, the dining room table is under the stairs, etc.
OK – I’ll up my offer to 25%….not kidding.
Sounds like Clio is getting lonely!!
“Sounds like Clio is getting lonely!!”
Haha – no, I just want to talk real estate over cocktails. I’m sure I’ll be there all night!!
Can’t come tonight but soon….
Would love to, Clio, but sadly, I work out in the burbs and couldn’t easily get down there. I’d be happy to introduce myself to you and any others who show up if I ever do get the chance.
I had the same reaction as Benjamon to this place. It looks extremely cramped and not comfortable to live in.
Nice looking building, though,
I might show up next time if Clio picks up the parking fee, which in that ‘hood can be a lot more than 25-25% of the eat/drink tab for this teetotaling dieter.
