We Love 3-Bedroom Brick and Timber Lofts with Private Roof Top Decks: 1235 W. George in Lakeview

This 3-bedroom loft at 1235 W. George in Lakeview came on the market in July 2013.

There aren’t many authentic brick and timber loft developments in Lakeview as you find as you get closer to the loop.

This development has 26 units, some of which are loft-like townhouses.

This loft, however, is all on one floor with a second floor private rooftop deck.

It has tall timber ceilings, exposed ductwork and brick and wide open spaces.

French doors lead to the 3rd bedroom, which also has a skylight.

The kitchen has cherry cabinets, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and subway tiles for the backsplash.

This loft also has rare 2-car garage parking which is underneath the building so you never have to be out in the elements.

It has central air and in-unit washer/dryer.

Originally listed in July for $510,000, it has recently been reduced $10,000.

Is this a loft that will command a half a million dollars?

Michael Shenfeld at Koenig & Strey Real Living has the listing. See the pictures here.

  1. Nice looking place, good deal if it’s really three true bedrooms, and hopefully some storage space.

  6. There are a lot of semi-creepy and ugly stairs and hallways to get to this unit, not very appealing. Nice living room and nicely updated kitchen but the AC droned obtrusively, something I really dislike. There is a larger unit for sale in the same complex as well.
