Flipper Alert: First Pictures from Inside MoMo at 8 E. Randolph

Closings are finally starting at MoMo at 8 E. Randolph (or 151 N. State, depending on where you look) in the Loop.

The lobby for the building is actually at 8 E. Randolph, so I’m assuming that is the “official” address.

There seem to be more rentals available than flips for sale (for now).

This Craigslist ad is for a 1 bedroom, 1 bath on the 16th floor with east facing views.

Rental price of $1975 (parking is extra).

What do you think of that frosted glass on the bottom tier of the windows?

Or you can rent a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, Southwest corner, 1450 square foot unit for $2700 a month.  The Craigslist ad doesn’t say anything about parking, so I’m assuming that’s extra.  (Remember, you could buy parking with the two bedroom units.  The one bedroom units did not have parking available.)

Stay tuned for more to come on this building.

  1. that frosted glass can’t possibly be permanent. I think it’s just not cleaned up yet. Kind of like those cabinets in the first shot are still all covered with dust.

MoMo looks horrendous to me. Sorry Valasko, I know you bought there but the finishes and windows are terrbile. The bathrooms look out of 1998 not 2008.

Are these on the MLS? I can’t find them under either address.

  6. They’d be nice apartments, but as condos, they are pretty ordinary.

  7. Streeterville, I not sure you should pass judgement on some bad photographs. You know what proper furniture and tweeting the finishes can do to the appearance. Maybe I will invite you over when I move in.

  9. My wife wanted to live close to the blue in downtown, we liked the unit layout and $325.00 per square feet cost. We have around 80 lineal feet of glass with a 8’6″ x 10′-0 balcony.

  10. That balcony is impressive. 1 or 2 br? How many sq. ft?

  11. I made a mistake the balcony is 8’0″x11’6″ and the unit is a 2br at 1365sq.ft. The area does not include the balcony.

  12. Valasko,

What floor are you on? How are the views? Is it a corner unit?

  13. Valasko, why do they have frosted glass at the bottom of the windows?

  14. Design decision by the architect, not quite sure if I like it or not.

  15. Aleks, we are on the 22nd floor, northeast corner.
Haven’t been in the unit yet. The construction elevator is at our corner, so I doubt I will close anytime soon.
