  2. that mosaic tile is hideous, kitchen even looks sort of nice if you could rip that garbage out, bathrooms could use a small refresh they look practically vintage. At least the realtor included parking in the price, I HATE when they try and play that parking game

  3. I like the bathroom to bedroom ratio. Those tiles fill me with dread just thinking about cleaning that grout.

  5. I think the area west of the river, east of the freeway is one of the lamest residential locations in the GZ. Not sure why I think this, even though it’s closer to the Loop, the “real” West Loop is west of Halsted. This little pocket is even more lame than the area of River North west of LaSalle, east of Orleans

  9. Decent loft with good plan. Truly works best as a one bedroom though as there is no door or privacy on the main bedroom.space. Our loft was a 3 bedroom with a similar setup on the master. We made it work with the kiddies while they were young but when adults (in-laws or friends) stayed over it was always a bit awkward.

    Hope there is hardwood under the living room carpet. While practical I think that on the timber loft its a lame finish.

  10. Agree with Helmet (about the location!) – Lived next door to this building for a year at “The Edge” on Des Plaines & Adams. Area is depressing after 6pm, nothing to do unless you absolutely love Greek food and Philly’s Best. Walk over to Randolph is nice in the summer but not in the brutal winters. Is that transient hotel still on Jackson & Halsted?
