  1. isnt there one on the same street on a smaller odd shaped lot for on 699k that just need a bit updating? why not that one then?

also why not wait till the bank takes the home back and get it for cheaper?

  2. “Taxes of $10,955”

My offer is the assessor’s market value, and not a penny more.

Also, does anyone know anyone who actually *prefers* the open bathrooms?

  5. Interesting, and wouldn’t take much to touch it up a bit. Might be attractive to the family that’s certain to only have one kid (or perhaps a couple without kids looking to venture a bit south in LV), for, oh I don’t know, $800k (give or take $50k).

wouldnt be cheaper and more eco-friendly to hire a midget immigrant and supply him with a sport water bottle than buy a bidet and pay for the bidets water consumption?

  12. Sponge painting and a teal colored staircase. Hmmm…hello 1994 it’s been a while. I can’t say that I have missed your looks.

Looks like this place has potential if you have a painter on retainer. Oh and is that a grey colored toilet and bidet or is it lavender? Either way I say it is time to go to the Kohler store and get some in white.

Side note: Does anyone think that colored toilets and bidets really look good? Perhaps I am just too traditional on this point. I like colors but not in the bathrooms.

  14. apparently you are so angered by sponge painting that you need to say it twice.

its a good way to create texture on a wall, i still do it. I agree with the just stick to white for the shitter, and i hate colored toilet covers keep it white too. and really nobody needs a padded one at that, even if they still sell them please dont by those gross things.

now considering everything we see on cribchater is so dang bland and boring i give this place a 9 out 10. only because the missing bathroom wall and the 1.2mil price tag.

So sponge painting is still okay but painting a living room red is a no-no?

How do you feel about the “touchless” automatic toilet seats that open close themselves?

  18. The one on Rosalyn blows this place away.

This place, in the gold coast, would still be my dream home and it’s not price much higher than this one: http://www.urbanrealestate.com/property/67-E-Bellevue-CHICAGO-IL-60611-LX7T6GMMFNSBI.html

639 was a hell of a pick up at that price.

Wait for the bank on this one and I imagine this goes for about the same.

Um, $74k *less*. Needn’t look at the interior pix or anything else–having looked at this one, plus looking at the exterior of of the Roslyn place and the location difference, just don’t see this one within 25% of the Roslyn place, unless this one is in *perfect perfect* condition (aside from decor) and the Roslyn one has massive deferred maintenance issues–that is, assuming that they are roughly equivalent structurally/mechanically, I’d rather have the Roslyn one than this one + $350,000 (ie at $875k). Might change as a permanently childless couple.

The parking situation for the surf place is way better, but still how much of a price difference does parking really make?

now i feel the Roslyn place is a tad high considering there is this place for significantly less.

and why are there 5 homes for sale just on that short stretch of Rosyln is there something up or coming down the line?

yes, and words to live by.
Red is an accent color, not palet
sponge painting is a technique, not a color

last time i was in tokyo a long while back they already had that and yes the fully loaded ones are the best dropping a deuce experience i have ever had.

My recent hotel toilet in Japan was equipped with numerous inscrutable options including heated seat, various spray to cleanse features, auto open & close etc. The hotel’s restaurant bathroom featured high tech toilets as well as a trench in floor for old school squatters. Wildly different culture there!

you are missing the older gay demographic who wants to stay young but doenst want to live directly ON the strip.

or the folk who want to live in ELP but hate people who call it ELP and rather not have them as neighbors.

  27. Yeah, this is a giant, headache-making nightmare, and wildly overpriced. Sponge painted walls, furniture, about ten years out of date. And the turret, it’s closed off, hidden. They’ll be lucky to get 500k. Nightmare.
