Need a floorplan. The layout looks weird. The halls look wider than the kitchen.

Does seem that exciting at the price. I imagine it has good views but I don’t really get it from the photos.

Is it worth $4.0 more than 4801? The terraces on this unit are nice, but are they that nice, and not much seems to have been done w them (given the price point).

My number 1 rule when browsing real estate, when the property’s taxes are higher than my salary, I don’t even look at the photos. I turn off the computer, take a deep breath in, deep breath out, and then watch the movie Fight Club.

“not much seems to have been done w them”

They’ve got a putting green and a dinner bell, what more do you want?

    “Unobstructed views in every direction!”

Do views of the building across the street *really* count as ‘unobstructed’?

Like the interior finishes, but $1200 psf (plus $700k for the terraces), seems steep.

It appears the owner (or the grantor or settlor) of the trust that owns the property made a quite the lucrative living distributing all things adult over the years. This is pretty swanky place although I’d expect something slightly swankier for a guy with this career choice.

    “They’ve got a putting green”

A driving range would be more exciting. You assured me it would be safe or at least (prob) non lethal.

    “what more do you want?”

Japanese garden. Or at least a japanese toilet–hear they are delightful.

Woah Glencoe! Close to the new job in Deerfield too! But man, those are some of the most ugliest fireplaces I’ve ever seen.

If I pay $7 mln for a penthouse, I want stunning views. These aren’t stunning. Can barely see the lake, but I do see into a lot of other buildings.

I remember looking at one of the premier apartments in this building and being completely unimpressed. If I remember correctly the East view was pretty much Northwestern Hospital. Most impressive thing I remember was the girl working at the sales office that showed the place. Wanted to ask her to dinner but than she used the ‘kid’ word, so overall a complete waste of a showing.

Just set your telescope up next to your bathtub, and I’m sure you’ll be stunned from time to time.

Agree, at least with respect to night views. But it’s a full floor penthouse. Were it located somewhere in the city that would allow for direct lake views, it would also almost certainly allow for skyline views.

Views of Northwestern and the calming sounds of kids being rushed to Childrens in the middle of the night by helicopter! That might become an issue for many buyers.

I don’t like high rises that much but he’s done a good job making the unit unique. The putting green, terrace, decor. It’s nice overall but not worth the price. Rather live in the “Gilette Razor” building 340 N Randolph or in the Palmolive (only if it has a terrace).
