  1. Not quite what I think of when I hear the word penthouse. The terrace is very nice and large, but the fact that there is not view on it and looks like you are In hole changes things a bit. Also, are those green inflatable mattresses converted into couches? Very clever

  2. The outdoor space sure is nice but this building is UGLY from the street. If you can get past the negative curb appeal to get up to your unit and that is your style kitchen (which it is not mine…) it doesn’t seem too bad in the upper $300k’s which I assume is where the sellers are aiming for.

    Enh, urban terrace. Obv gets sun at least part of the day. My issue is that it’s (barely) separated from the neighbor’s terrace by that unattractive fence.

  4. This bulding isn’t that bad from the street, kind of reminds me of those dry cleaner style storefronts in Lakeview/LP. There’s a little garden type green area inbetween these buildings… I am in the area about once a month and other than being really windy all the time the location isn’t bad at all. Even easy to find parking here any time of day (although you have to pay for it)

  5. Nice space, and love the terrace. Espalier fruit trees would be lovely against the terrace fence. I’m tall, but not enough to reach that dangerous wine fridge above the main refrigerator. Also, has anyone ever seen a shower/tub combo like the one shown? Seems like you’d be cleaning both a shower and a tub every week.

    A few other units featured on CC have had that.

    It’s also akin to (but still quite different from) a Japanese bath.

  7. Are the kitchen cabinets from Ikea? They are quite nice. I think they are much nicer than your average Home Depot kind.

  9. good god, where did the 3rd bedroom use to be? Seems like a smart move to open it up, I’m presuming it made the living space larger. The inventory in the SL is so low, I can’t imagine this doesn’t sell quickly. Maybe 399K? I don’t think I would spend that with such crappy baths but someone will snag it up quickly.

    That outdoor space is killer. Man, you could throw some pretty amazing parties out there. Maybe some luaus or something. I am sure you would be the cool neighbor in the building. I’d definitely crank some Jimmy Buffett and sail away to Margaritaville if I had this place. I’m a huge, HUGE Parrothead. You could definitely put a tiki bar out there and maybe one of those neon palm trees like they have at that tire store down in the city? You guys know what I am talking about? A little urban oasis. I think this would prob be a more worthwhile cause than doing all that stuff to my man cave.

  11. Looking at this unit is like looking at a prom photo from long ago. You know that the hair, dress, and tux were in style and looking good at that time yet not by todays standards.

    As for the finishes here somehow that ship has sailed into the sunset.

    Outdoor space is great but in order to throw that amazing party, you’ll have to lure your guests into the south loop. I dont like s. loop because not much going on down there and when is the last time you heard of a group of people meeting up in the south loop on a weekend night? Great effort to spur the s. loop but I think there should be at least a 25% discount to river north and west loop to live down there. just my opinion.
