We last chattered about this bank owned 2-bedroom in the Fordham at 25 E. Superior in River North in June 2011.

At that time, the unit was listed at $497,900 (but we couldn’t determine if that included parking or not).
At 1600 square feet, it was one of the larger 2-bedroom floor plans in the building.
Some of you thought this was a deal for the square footage and the location.
It recently sold for $515,000 including parking.
If you recall, the unit appeared to have the kitchen and bathrooms intact.
The kitchen had upgraded stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops.
The bathrooms also appeared to have stone counters and floors.
The unit had central air and a washer/dryer hook-up.
This sold fast. Did someone get a steal?

I feel like Urban Real Estate always has crappy pictures. Maybe that is their “urban” schtick?
Whether you personally like this unit or this building it probably was a good deal unless the place was trashed. From the terrible photos it doesn’t look like it was trashed. Unit 2302 went for 664K while unit 1702 went for 720K. Unit 1702 is curious. Why did it go for so much? And in the last couple of weeks.
When you look at the photos for those other 2 units you really appreciate just how horrible these photos are.

25 for me was a short rental, needed a place that accepted dogs, needed it on short notice, wanted to be in that location, give or take a few blocks. Very much disliked this place. Never saw so many uncomfortable people, all in one place. And shitty construction. But hey i like giordanos next door, so what do i know.
