2-Bedroom Luxurious Retreat With Lake Views for $339,900: 336 W. Wellington in East Lakeview
This 2-bedroom in 336 W. Wellington in East Lakeview came on the market in August 2025.
Built in 1965, it has 120 units and leased garage parking.
It has 24-hour door staff and on-site manager/engineer, a party room, solarium, bike room, full-size storage lockers and a rooftop deck.
The listing says this unit is an “exquisite luxurious retreat.”
It says it is sun drenched and has lake views facing north and east.
The unit has been updated. It has new engineered hardwood floors, trim and custom crown moldings.
There is an ambient electric fireplace in the living room.
The new kitchen is open to the living/dining room and has white 42″ Shaker cabinets, including floor-to-ceiling pantry cabinets, a peninsula with waterfall edge and seating for two, quartz counter tops, a Newport Brass kitchen faucet, and white Cafe Appliances.
There is one bathroom and it has all new tiles and a high-end vanity by Robern.
The listing says the second bedroom could be an office.
This unit has some of the features buyers look for. Apparently there is leased parking available on-site. It doesn’t have central air, however. But it does have wall unit heating and cooling which was common in the 1960s and early 1970s.
There is no washer/dryer in the unit but the building has a laundry room.
The listing says 336 W. Wellington is a non-smoking building.
It is near the lakefront, bus routes and the shops and restaurants on Broadway and Clark in East Lakeview.
Listed in August 2025 for $349,900, it has been reduced $10,000 to $339,900.
With inventory still low, why isn’t this selling?
Liliana Lohan at Lohan Realty has the listing. See the pictures and 3D tour here.

What a shame so many dull, faceless buildings were constructed on LSD in Lakeview in that era. This is one of the ugliest. The four at Addison and Lake Shore are another example. It’s uncommon to tear down high rise buildings, but does that mean we’re stuck forever with these poorly-built, low amenity, crap-boxes for 50 more years?
Closed 12-15 for $333k.
