But this loft has a brand new price. It has been reduced $100,000 from last year.

Well it is good to see that they have an in-unit laundry. That was apparently not clear in the previous thread as we spent many posts on the merits of having two washer/dryer combos. I still say that is the way to go if you have the room in your home.
Dramatic drop in price. Hopefully that will get this penthouse under contract quickly this time around. The no parking downside still exists. That is my non negotiable point of contention for something in this price range.

but this loft has been suburbanized. and when looking for an urban loft, actually a historic urban loft you do not expect to see this.

place has potential. unique counts for something. parking/assessment have to be accounted for but i bet there is a market for a place like this around $400k.
I normally just lurk and enjoy the postings and discussion, but I just had to say how much I love this place. Would buy it in a minute if I had the money. I find the photos beautiful and evocative, especially those with the evening lighting. Would like to see photos of the bedrooms and better views of the bathroom(s) though. I don’t see what Groove means by “suburbanized”; in addition to some nice exposed brick and timber, I think it has a lot of character.

first off, look at the staircase and random Juliet indoor balcony (sorry dont know correct term) it look straight out of every house built in buffalo grove.
next, look at the marble tiled (in know TILED) fire place with a wooden ledge, it screems “i am the 1% in palitine”
then, the step down to the kitchen where the tile (albeit i need to see in person) doesnt match and has no urban loft feel like the wood floor have no character
the rest of the place i have no clue what it look like as the realtor decided to take a picture of a stool in a closet and a picture of two round mirrors and a plant.
