2-Years Later and the Bank Still Owns It: 10829 S. Wood in Morgan Park
This 6-bedroom vintage single family home at 10829 S. Wood in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the South Side became bank owned in June 2007.
It has been on the market since November 2008.
The bank has been following the market down ever since.
It is now priced just $20,000 over the 1992 purchase price.
The house has no central air, but it does have 2 fireplaces. The bedroom sizes are also quite large, as is typical in the vintage homes. Additionally, it has a three car garage.
Will this house sell for under the 1992 purchase price?
If anyone has been in it- please fill us in on the details.
Michael Olszewski at Area Wide Realty has the listing. See the listing and exterior picture here.

Seems to have been taken off the market just now?? Maybe they were afraid what the CC commenters would say/dig up?
Is Morgan park part of the “Wild 100’s”?
hahahahaha – Sonies, where did you learn that nomenclatures.
Maybe to the wannabe’s who live there. This is west of the legit Wil’ Wil’ Hunnets
“s” should be “?”
roma – I’ve been around 🙂
I can’t wait till I see a place on here that sold for 500k in Roseland
This place was heavily advertised on craigslist as a foreclosure. As for the wild wild hundreds, Morgan Park is pretty tame – despite the fact that the last time I drove past 112th and Vincennes there was a man taking a dump on the street corner in full view. heyyo! Morgan Park will always be a poor man’s beverly.
