A Vintage Lincoln Park 2/1 with Garage Parking for $525,000: 1120 W. Armitage
This 2-bedroom at 1120 W. Armitage in Lincoln Park is about to come on the market in June 2026. On Redfin, it’s listed under “early access.”
If this building looks familiar, that’s because we’ve chattered about units in it off and on over the years. The last time was Unit #201, which was listed in 2021, during the pandemic boom. #201 was listed at $385,000.
This time, it’s Unit #301.
We’ve actually chattered about this unit several times, including in 2009 and 2014, In 2014, it was listed at $329,000.
Most of you were bored by this listing in 2014. JohnnyU complained about a cheaper “insert” ruining one of the rooms and sonies said that inventory was still high in Lincoln Park.
You can see our 2014 chatter here.
The building has 8 units. Some have vintage features and some don’t.
There aren’t any building amenities other than a shared rooftop deck and some private storage.
This unit has some of its vintage features still intact including original millwork, a wood burning fireplace and “real” hardwood floors.
It has a bay window in the living room.
The listing says there is a 11×8 dining room. Is that the area in the main living space where the couch is?
It has two bedrooms but only one “updated” bath.
The listing says the kitchen has been “updated” with white cabinets, granite counter tops and “newer” stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher.
The bedrooms have professionally organized bedroom closets.
The units have the features that buyers look for including central air, washer/dryer in the unit and a coveted one car garage parking space.
This building is on Armitage, within steps from shops and restaurants as well as the Brown Line El stop. It’s also close to the Clybourn Corridor shopping area with Trader Joe’s and Petco.
The building is “pet friendly” and allows one dog up to 20 pounds.
This unit is in the early access for $525,000. That is $175,000 above the 2020 sales price of $350,000.
Will this seller get the $500,000s?
Brant Booker at Jameson Sotheby’s has the listing. See the pictures here. Sorry, no floor plan.
