Are 3-Bedroom Townhouses in Blaine Still Hot? 1350 W. Byron in Southport
This 3-bedroom townhouse at 1350 W. Byron in Southport just came on the market.
This is a townhouse development with 12 units and attached 1-car garages built in 2000.
This townhouse has 4 levels.
The first floor has the attached garage (with an additional driveway parking) and a den.
The second floor has the living/dining and kitchen.
The third floor has 2 en suite bedrooms.
The fourth floor has either a third bedroom or a family room along with a half bath.
There are two different outdoor spaces, on the first floor and the fourth floor.
The kitchen has maple cabinets, stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops.
The listing says it’s in the Blaine school district.
In the past, that has been one of the hottest school districts, virtually guaranteeing that any 3-bedroom would sell quickly.

The many townhouse mini divisions in Lincoln park and lakeview all suffer from the same issues – tight quartered dark exposure facing other immediate walls, and low ceilings. Can’t really control the views issue, but the ceiling heights are a real bummer.
At the same time, this price is quite attractive for a young family, I think it’ll sell quickly.
Would prefer this one:

Yes, 100k more, and outdoor parking, but 4 true bedrooms, an extra full bath, etc, etc.
Came across when looking at the assertion in other post that nothing is on the market v there is but depends on product/price/location.
good god this place is horrible, what is the floor plate like 400 sqft?
Just depressing that this place way off in the boonies is probably selling for well over 500k just because its in the rare district with a passable public school
“the rare district with a passable public school”
Basically every school east of California and north of Madison (except Mannierre) is at least passable. Blaine is an affirmatively good school.
I walked by this place all the time when living in my prior condo, and always wondered what they looked like. Maybe I’ll go to the open house. Townhouses of this type (stacked small floors) aren’t my thing, but I get why people like them.
Bet it sells quickly. Good deal. Blaine is excellent.
