This 1-bedroom in Aqua at 225 N. Columbus in Lakeshore East just came on the market.
Built in 2009, it has 82 stories and is the tallest building in Lakeshore East.
There are apartments on the lower floors and condos on the top floors. Everyone shares the amenities which includes an indoor and outdoor pool, basketball court and exercise room.

Great views w/Bad finishes for price point
I dont understand how units in this building originally sold at a large premium but have such crappy kitchens and finishes.
From $680k to $919k? Huh?
Those foreign investors really like this building.
“I dont understand how units in this building originally sold at a large premium”
Whether one likes the architecture of the building or not, Magellan definitely capitalized on it.
Where is the washer/dryer? Looks to me like the room that would be dedicated to that is full of boxes and wine lol
nothing like grabbing a bottle of wine after going through the bathroom… how romantic!
I have no other comment other than that Room and Board outdoor furniture by Loll designs is superior….however the little satellite table would have to come inside when not in use on a balcony that high đŸ˜‰
Are there many views better than this? Yes, there are many views better than this, at this price point. I would not call the view “panoramic” either, while it only views north.
You could find better view with a corner unit at the Hancock, an upper floor unit at Lake Point Tower, or an end unit 2/2 at many of the new construction condos. Those units will have truly panoramic views, often 180 degrees from inside and maybe 270 degrees of view from the balcony.
What. Is. Happening.
If this sells anywhere near ask i’ll eat my shorts.
Our inspector told me that this building has a slew of issues, something to do with the balconies and windows. not sure if that is actually true or anyone here is familiar with building to validate.
“a corner unit at the Hancock, an upper floor unit at Lake Point Tower … maybe 270 degrees of view from the balcony.”
Units in the Hancock and LPT have balconies? Huh.
@Nomer “Our inspector told me that this building has a slew of issues, something to do with the balconies and windows. not sure if that is actually true or anyone here is familiar with building to validate.”
Validated. I used to live in this building. Long list to complain about but the biggest issue were the windows and balcony railings. When the wind would blow too hard the metal picket railings would sing like wind chimes and the windows would creak and groan like they were being sucked out. I never slept a full night during first two weeks of Spring or Fall.
Moved shortly after the hotel opened. Guests screaming at 3am on a Tuesday and constantly flicking lit cigarettes off the balconies. The swimming pools were always slimy from all the extra bodies slicked with sunscreen and their kids using them as a toilet.
Whew! I feel better now!
