Can You Afford River North? A Junior 1-Bedroom at 630 N. State
This junior 1-bedroom at 630 N. State in River North came on the market in June 2015.
It’s just 550 square feet and the bedroom appears to have a 3/4th wall.
It faces east.
The listing says it has been “newly remodeled.”
The unit has Brazilian cherry floors.
The kitchen has grey/white cabinets and quartz counter tops with white appliances.
There is a washer/dryer hook-up in the unit and central air.
Parking is $25,000 extra.
At just $189,000, is this a good starter unit for someone who really wants to live in the hot River North neighborhood?

Perfect for a family. A little tight but with a location like this, the city is your playground. Who needs indoor space when the lake front is but a few blocks away and cultural entertainment everywhere!
HD, have you ever seen “Tiny House Hunters?” There was an episode where a family of 4 specifically wanted a house no bigger than 600 square feet. They wanted to be “closer” as a family. Just seeing the episode make me feel anxious.
I like it…for <$150k
FYI, here is the listing.

Why, in a big open room, would you suddenly put tiles in the open kitchen? I suppose that changing out the floors in such a small place wouldn’t be too costly at least.
Went to see this today. Nothing really to report, it is what it is…
