Crib Chatter Is Going on Vacation: March 1-10

I’m going on vacation starting on March 1 (today!) and returning on March 10.

All you regulars know that means there will be limited posts. For the rest of this week there will just be two posts a day (morning and mid-day.)

For next week, there will just be one post a day (in the morning.)

Next week will essentially be “luxury home week”.  I know some of you find that to be boring but you’ll just have to endure it for a week and then it’s back to the regular mix of properties.

Some things to keep in mind:

  • If you are new to posting comments, have patience because it will take me a little longer to get to the moderation.
  • Please try and play nice. I don’t want to have to interrupt my beach time to deal with crazy comments. 🙂
  • If you have any tips, please feel free to send them to me on my e-mail at cribchatter@yahoo.com. When I return, I will be making trips around the city so that we have a bunch of new properties to chatter about in March as the spring buying season heats up. If you have something you think is interesting, please drop me a line about it.
  • CribChatter also has a twitter account @cribchatter. I’m just getting used to using it to post about things that aren’t posted on the site. It also posts about each new property every day. Feel free to check that out if you are a twitter junkie.

When I come back, I’m looking forward to chattering about the spring market.

Thanks for all your help with tips, pictures and great insights into neighborhoods, schools and properties.

  7. I think that when you go out of town that we should be treated to some regional summer homes on the market to chat about. Perhaps New Buffalo, IN, the chain of Lakes area in IL, or Lake Geneva, WI. That way at least while you are resting on the beach we can be dreaming about warm summer nights at the lake.

    Is Fox Lake full of Asian carp? That’s a pretty cheap price for that much house, land and lakefront.

    Sabrina, inspired by the couple showing that property, I googled Riverwoods (I knew nothing about it). This is a pretty nice place that could be featured for your “luxury home” week:

    The home’s on Dunns Lake, not directly on Fox Lake, but has access to it via waterway.

    You can take a video drive around Riverwoods with old friends of mine, Bill and Sherry Kaplan, and tour some nice properties there at YouTube. Bill’s been the mayor of Riverwoods for over a dozen years and knows it well.
