I like it. In fact, I could even see a bidding war for this one. Seems like it is priced below market for a 3 BR. Great kitchen with nice appliances and cabinets. Bathroom is a little too modern for my taste, though.

I helped a client buy a townhouse in this development a few years ago. I wouldn’t really call it “Lincoln Square,” more like “West Andersonville.” Actually this is a very charming, quiet, secluded enclave bordered by Foster/Damen/Western/Bowmanville Ave.bordering the cemetery. These townhouses in particular are a nice alternative to single-family homes for families that need space but can’t afford a true SFH. The big drawback is lack of easy public transportation and “major” shopping (although some people would rather have the boutique businesses that line Damen north of Foster).

Playing plastic red cup wine pong with a bottle of ’73 Petrus and arguing the finer points of Malliavin vs. Newtonian which always results in the inevitable invoking of the name of Walter the Farting Dog. Local Lassie: I wouldn’t really call it Lincoln Square or West Andersonville – to those of us not making money off of selling it, it is really “West Tempel Steel Industrial Park-ville” as it’s adjacent to the industrial park housing their humming (or clinking) operation. Also building these TH’s was an early learning experience for a then incompetent, now imprisoned developer.
This is not West Andersonville. It does not exist. This area is called Bowmanville in honor of a man named Bowman who sold lots he didn’t own, then skedaddled with the money.

Pretty much any time someone references “West-Neighborhood X” you can be sure it’s realtor BS (Rogers Park and Englewood are exceptions, maybe there’s one or two more…)
I walked down this block last weekend. It is actually really nice, and I love this area. Not sure what you call the neighborhood, and that is part of the appeal for me. It feels like a secret Chicago neighborhood. Nevertheless, this is the longest row of connected townhouses that I’ve ever seen. I said as much to my wife as we walked by it. Check it out on google street view if you don’t believe me.
The thought that our Bob could convince a woman to marry his loutish -ss (& inspire B to say nice things about this street & call this a secret neighborhood) tickled me greatly until I noted ours is Bob not bob.

Dan was banned (as was his other identities- including Marcus.) But since you all could figure out Helmethofer was “Dan” by the first comment he posted (yes- anonymous internet posters do, apparently, have a distinctive “voice”)- I have let him stick around under that name.
I try to weed out others that try and post under different names (same person) or that try and post under a name similar to someone elses.
I comment in order to be part of the RE community. I have no incentive in this property (or any other on CC for that matter). I don’t consider myself average, although I may not be as smart as most of the posters on this board. Try not to be so hard on me!
