Only a transplant would call that intersection Six Corners.
I wonder if a family of 4 could make this work?
“Only a transplant would call that intersection Six Corners.”
I don’t know. There is definitely another Six Corners in Chicago that is pretty prominent. But that is what the agent used for this six corners in Wicker Park, so I used it too.
“I wonder if a family of 4 could make this work?”
If you had older kids, maybe. But I feel like the stairs would get real tiring with younger kids (under 5). You can do one child, but once you get two it’s a lot more work.
10 years ago, writers were complaining that people were calling the Wicker Park intersection Six Corners. Lol. I guess it has been going on for a while. Could be that newbies started calling it that and it has stuck.
But I’m old and I’ve never heard this particular six corners actually called Six Corners. But I don’t live in that neighborhood either. Does anyone know if it has common usage in Wicker Park now?

I love the bathroom renovations they did here. If you look at the prior sales, the bathrooms were definitely looking dated.
It makes SUCH a big difference to do bathroom and kitchen renovations. If you want to sell for more, you have to do it on these properties that are now 20 years old. No one wants the granite counter tops anymore. Contact Renovation Sells to figure out how you can do a “refresh” so you can sell for more. Sometimes all that is needed is new counter tops and backsplash, like they did here.
And appliances will definitely have to be swiped out, especially in the kitchen. These would have been 22 years old.
I recall that intersection being referred to as six corners… I’m not a Chicago native (moved here in ’99).
With all the ups and downs in between, the $599k ask is basically bang on both the Jun-01 and Jun-18 prices +CPI.
Nice looking unit in a great location. Hard to find a decent condo in the area, so this stands out. I like the outdoor space, too. Kitchen seems kind of small and so does the dining area, but it might work OK. My problem with six-unit buildings (as I’ve said many times) is you have to hope the other owners aren’t impossible to work with on maintenance.
Love the location, I’m looking in Wicker & Bucktown for townhouses, but considered something like this.
The building itself is attractive from the exterior, the high ceilings are nice, and the two balconies a nice touch. I would hope the parking is garage secured, but seems like it’s not.
I would personally save up for a townhouse and not be as concerned about sound up & down my unit. Looking at Willow Court in the next couple years, we will see.

Have you looked at any of the new units off Division Rob? They built a midrise and some townhouses but I think the prices are double this.

Yeah. They built a whole new development there.
