Great decor/staging and photography make an otherwise tiny space look livable.
Would be tight for more than three people.
I like this place. It has a private entrance and a private yard. It’s brighter than I expected and the windows really make the place look great.
The space is tight, but it would be perfect for a single person with a dog. I’m personally over living in a busy neighborhood, but if I was still in the market for chaotic city living, I’d go see this place.

If I needed to spend $550k to keep a dog happy the kids would be staring at goldfish and eating mystery meat.

Usually it’s an error in calculating price out of the transfer tax, and it’s double–I would expect $197,500. […looking…] bad scan of the tax stamps, so dunno. But a large number of ~86-91 deeds at CCRD have purchase prices calculated based on tax at $0.50/$1,000, rather than the correct $1/$1,000.
This is very pleasant and well presented. Well kept and a good location. It’s been taken care of over the years.
The main drawback is the design. Assuming you have young children and want to raise them here, it’s missing the key element: A family room/basement/playroom where they can keep toys and the family can spread out and watch TV, play games, etc.
Other than what appears to be a small living room, there’s no family space. Certainly none in the kitchen, which many young families these days use as a family room of sorts.
Having said that, the price is good for this location, and you do get a decent amount of overall space, plus the patio. Just not sure who the market is for this one.

Unit would be fine for a couple.
Taxes of $838/mo seem pretty high.
I think this could work fine for a young family. Bedroom 3 could be turned into a flex space family/playroom with a pull out couch for occasional guests.

2% of $475k is $791/month. Chicago property tax has been over 2% the last few years.
That’s what taxes are–yes, it’s high on a national basis, but it’s low for Illinois, and it’s bang on for Chicago.
