Get Your SFH in Lincoln Park for Under $600,000: 2706 N. Wilton
Is it impossible to get a single family home in Lincoln Park for under $600,000?
Apparently not- but this 3-bedroom home at 2706 N. Wilton has one not so appealing feature: it’s right on the El tracks.
But who’s noticing?

A non-updated frame house directly on the El? That noise kills. In that super congested area between DePaul and Lakeview, to boot? For 600 grand? Ugh.
Well I guess there is one advantage to being deaf.
One heck of a deal for those that can stand the el noise. I am not one of those people but there will be someone not too sensitive to sound who gets a house that is otherwise ideal. Roof hot tub, skylights? They really went all out on this place!
It looks like the hottub is right next to the El. Earplugs in the tub, anyone?
The 3rd BR is also tiny…
Still – a not outrageously overpriced listing for a change.

I’d rather have a new 600k condo with a roof deck that is not on the EL
I don’t want to hear “Belmont – next stop!” while I’m trying to sleep.
Looks like someone did a little photo stretching on this one!
