They certainly built high rises with amenities in 1968. With nothing much located nearby, residents were going to need them.

Those views are amazing. I think this is the first time I’ve seen the interior of a unit here. The finishes need some updating. But seriously, the views in every direction make this place a very cool option for those with a couple million to spend.
I have to say that I do like the space. And it’s way out of my budget but it would be a fun place to live. In my opinion the people who did the updating made some good decisions. Not exactly my style, but someone will take this place down soon.
I used to live across the street at 474 N Lake Shore facing east. Seems you can get the same (or better) views for a hell of a lot less there.
I just looked at a unit in here last week, although not this one. The older buildings have space. It’s incredible how tiny new units are these days. I feel like the new trend is to have tiny apartments and then huge amenity spaces. Anyway, besides the space of the unit I looked at, the windows opened in a way I have never seen before. It was very cool and the lake breezes were incredible. You would not need to run the ac ever. Bad things about this building is you can’t park, for a few minutes, in the parking circle ever. They immediately take your key and give it to the valet. No grace period, 1-20 minutes is $8. And I don’t think there is a store anymore. I think the realtor told me it closed but maybe he meant it was closed when I was there. And there is no stepping out your front door and walking to a bar or restaurant, everything is far away.
