Looking for a Real West Loop Industrial Loft? A 2-Bedroom at 411 S. Sangamon
This 2-bedroom loft in the Sangamon Lofts at 411 S. Sangamon in the West Loop recently came on the market.
At 1445 square feet it has an open concept with a wall of industrial windows stretching across one wall.
The ceilings are concrete and it has exposed brick, which looks as though it has been painted.
The kitchen is uniquely shaped in a triangle configuration with maple cabinets, stainless steel appliances and gray counter tops (are they concrete?).
The listing says the unit was designed by an architect.
The loft has central air and washer/dryer in the unit but parking is rental for $135 a month.
This building was converted into condos in the early 1990s so these lofts tend to have the larger, open loft concept which loft buyers love.
With inventories so low, is this the perfect time to list a unique industrial loft in this neighborhood?
Kayla Gelsomino at Berkshire Hathaway KoenigRubloff has the listing. See the pictures here.

Interesting layout. A little TOO interesting.
Very cool. If I didn’t have a family, I’d be interested. I wonder to what extent Crib Chatter traffic is driving the Redfin “Hot home” designation. It says there is a 70% chance it will sell tomorrow. Pretty bold prediction, there.
Good old Redfin, using the urgency marketing tactic.
I like this unit though. It’s much different than what we usually see on this site. It’s too bad it only has one bathroom. Over 1400 square feet and just one bathroom…insanity!
yikes POMO design looks so strange in a building like this
Unit doesn’t appear to be ON the Eisenhower so thats a plus I suppose
Even looking at the pictures I get nauseous. What a disaster of a unit.
Yeah, not a big fan of CC sending us to RedFin – I’m an agent, though, so I get my inside scoops doing research not listening to RedFinians tell me.
Lets do it, Sara researched it!!!
“Yeah, not a big fan of CC sending us to RedFin”
Yeah, I’m not a big fan of other real estate websites requiring personal information to view listings. You’re an agent–maybe you can do something about that. The realtor industry certainly doesn’t care what I think.
Sorry, forgot that search sites do that. I think I’ve got mine set up so you never have to register, it’s hard to go around corporate to do that. You can always use my personal favorite: Zillow 🙂
“Lets do it, Sara researched this!!!” (cue voicemail: “you can do this!”
That’s hilarious, it’s been years since I’ve even thought of that commercial. Thanks for bringing back the memories Sonies.
