Almost 1k sqft for $325K with parking in the quiet area of RN sounds like a good deal at first… but I would love to know what’s up with the ceiling. My guess would be it appears to be leaking somehow? This is a major factor in the purchase price obviously.
I believe they share the top floor gym (decent for cardio only) and sundeck (with great views) with 435 Erie. The north view of this unit will also partially be blocked with the new building going up where Citizen was as well as 312 Huron further back.

Top floor?? If so, then *maybe* they is roof work going on, and that is to catch any debris shaken loose by said work.
Otherwise, wholly inexcusable.
I hope the price includes the plastic bag ceiling. New trend in high-end luxury lofts. It helps with the insulation and adds an cutting edge homeless guy in a warehouse vibe. Its all the rage now.
Why wouldn’t the agent mention what was going on with the ceiling in the description?
Also, I know the description says that the unit is 980 square feet, but this unit looks much smaller.
Looks like Wrigley Field under the upper deck. Wonder how much $ it will cost to fix and if the unit above is responsible to help bear the cost?

Yes, probably so. I lived in a timber loft several years ago and when the association replaced the roof they did this in all the top floor units to catch any debris. There’s many gaps in a timber ceiling.
I don’t think this is a top floor unit, photo #2 on the listing shows another balcony on top of this unit’s balcony.
It could be the top floor, the building’s mid section has 1 more floor than the sides.

Nah, out the window in pic #2, there is another balcony directly overhead. So it has to be the midsection.
Suppose, tho, that then means that the unit upstairs is doing some sort of significant reno, and it’s still about debris thru the floor. Which is also a reasonable explanation.

Why try to sell when this is going on then? I’ve never seen this in a listing in the 10 years I’ve run this site.
I would at least try to crop the ceiling photos out of the pictures.
