Love Levels? A 2-Bedroom Duplex Up: 1351 W. George in West Lakeview
This 2-bedroom duplex up at 1351 W. George in West Lakeview just came on the market.
I’m not sure when the brick building was actually constructed, but it was turned into 4 duplex-up units with garage parking in the 1990s.
This unit has 13 foot cathedral ceilings and custom built-ins.
The first floor has its own entrance off of George with the living and dining rooms along with the kitchen and a half bath.
The kitchen has white and black modern cabinets along with stainless steel appliances and what looks like stone counter tops.
The master bedroom and the second bedroom is on the second floor. Both are en suite.
The master suite has 3 skylights.
The second bedroom has a built-in murphy bed.
Both bedrooms have access to a terrace with built-in planters.
The third floor has a private 26×13 terrace with neighborhood views with interior access.
This duplex has all the features buyers look for including central air, washer/dryer in the unit and garage parking, which is included.
This property has only been sold twice since 1992.
Will this sell quickly in this hot market?
Jeanine Wheeler at @Properties has the listing. See the pictures and floor plan here.

“what am I missing here”
That it’s set up as a really nice 1+Den? That the bedrooms are 10′ wide? That the interior space is more like 1450 than 1750, and that’s w/o deducting for the stairs?
It’s nice, and I would live there solo/couple, but there are a lot of options in the $500s.
Seems pretty nice but I don’t care for the architecture. The new part clashes with the old part when you look at it from the street.
There is very little storage space and not even a coat closet on the first floor.
