It is known as the “Fugitive House” as parts of the movie The Fugitive, with Harrison Ford, were filmed there. The movie was released in 1993.
If you recall, it was built in 1981 on a larger than average Chicago lot of 32×126.
It has a lot of features you don’t normally find in single family homes including a sauna, an elevator and an indoor pool.
It also has a 3 car garage.
The kitchen has white cabinets and a stainless steel refrigerator.
There are 3 master suites.
The glass catwalk in the main living space plays a key role in the movie.
In 2015, it had been reduced to $3.5 million. It is still listed at $3.5 million.
After all these years on the market, will it finally sell in 2017?

honestly I can’t believe this beautiful relic from the 90’s hasn’t sold yet. I think its fantastic! Can anyone give me a small loan of a hundred million dollars?
But I thought Lincoln Park was hot hot hot! How has this not been bid up by Chinese investors/Private Equity/easily-framed doctors?
And how is it that this home got a property tax reduction yet modest homes (2/5ths of the size of this behemoth) on northwest side are going up? Hopefully that’s a typo or data-entry error.

I love it. The bedrooms don’t seem all that private though.
I almost feel like the sellers are gloating by listing it so we can all be reminded of their homes awesomeness every few months.

Sure. Everyone in Chicago real estate has. Crib Chatter has written about it 4 or 5 times now. But that’s what happens when it’s been on and off the market for 6 years.
Notice how Curbed basically ignores it now.
And, frankly, I don’t think anyone cares that it was the Fugitive House. Millennials don’t even know that movie. And they are quickly becoming the target buyer for this house, the longer it is on the market.
