These are the first interior pictures of the units.

Built by Smithfield, builder of the uber-popular contemporary 30 W. Oak in the Gold Coast, it has just 26 units.

The building has a doorman, fitness center, dog run and wine storage.

This unit has east views with a large terrace.

It has 10 foot ceilings and gray slate floors in the main living space.

The open kitchen has modern white Valcucine cabinetry and Miele stainless steel appliances.

The other rooms have stone floors and the baths are done in Carrara marble.

It has other features that buyers and renters look for including a side-by-side washer/dryer and rare 2-car garage parking.

The rental listing says they prefer a 2-year lease.

The building is sold out. Several other new luxury mid-rises are going up in the blocks nearby.

Will this building do for River North’s luxury scene what 30 W. Oak did for the Gold Coast?

The listing says this unit is “almost 1500 square feet” but the 2016 listing said it was 1384 square feet.

We’ve chattered about several of these 1990s condos that have been renovated recently.

This unit sold last year for $520,000. It has come on the market for $179,000 more, at $699,000.

That would make it among the most expensive 2 bedroom units to sell in the building over the last 2 years.

It’s been about 7 years since we chattered about this building.

Built in 1915, it was converted into condos during the condo boom in 2005. It has 16 units with no parking.

Because it was part of the condo conversion craze, the finishes are from that era including wood cabinets, stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops.

Even though its vintage, it has modern features including central air and washer/dryer in the unit.

It also has a bay window.

The two bedrooms each have windows although they measure just 12×9 and 10×10.

But you can’t get much closer to the Cubs action than this location. You’ll certainly hear the roar of the crowds.

This seller was an original buyer in 2006.

The kitchen is open to the living room and has light wood cabinets, granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. There appears to be a large wine refrigerator as well along with a kitchen island.

There’s an oversized master suite with an east facing balcony.

It also has a private 1000 square foot roof deck with 360 degree Chicago and skyline views. In the pictures, there’s a ladder in the middle of the living room, presumably to access the roof deck. Is this a permanent feature? Is it always there?

The bathroom has quartz counter tops.

Only one of the two bedrooms has a window and it appears that the second bedroom has 3/4th walls.

This loft has the features buyers look for including central air, washer/dryer in the unit and indoor parking which is, apparently, included.

The units with the private decks rarely come on the market. This unit last sold in June 2009 for $355,000.

It’s currently listed for $359,000.

If it seems familiar, that’s because we chattered about it a couple of times the last time it was on the market which was in 2010.
