This 2-bedroom in Pine Grove Court at 3600 N. Pine Grove in East Lakeview came on the market in September 2024. (Sorry, no picture. Yikes!)
Built in 1926, this courtyard building has 55 units. It has a bike room and a rooftop deck. There is no parking with the building.
The listing says Pine Grove Court is one of the most beautiful courtyard buildings in East Lakeview and that is very true. That’s what makes it even more surprising that I don’t have a picture of it after all these years.
It’s the white brick building on the corner of Addison and Pine Grove.
This is a corner unit with tree top views.
The listing calls it “pretty and peaceful.”
It has north, east and south exposures.
It still has some of its vintage features including parquet wood floors in the living and dining rooms, a foyer, a separate dining room and a wood burning fireplace with built-ins in the living room.
The kitchen has been “recently remodeled.” The listing says the seller opened the wall to the dining room which created space for a breakfast bar that seats two.
It has white cabinets, new stainless steel appliances, black stone countertops, a white tile backsplash, a French farmhouse sink and a checkerboard floor.
Both bedrooms are carpeted (wonder what is underneath?).
The primary bedroom has a half bath. The listing says that the “owners can install a w/d in the closet behind the 1/2 bath.”
The unit does not have central air, but has window air conditioning units.
There is also no parking but it’s available for rent in the neighborhood. But who needs a car here?
