Sorry: Having Technical Problems

Sorry about there being no posts today. I’m having technical problems (again.) Posts could be spotty the rest of the week but let’s keep our fingers crossed.

I knew all of you would just talk amongst yourselves. Thank you for keeping the discussion respectful until we have some new properties to talk about.

  1. OK here’s a place to chatter about… I know I’ve brought it up before but really are the tracks for sure/without a doubt/100%/no way in hell a dealbreaker?     Second, LOVE! http://www.redfin.com/IL/Chicago/3825-N-Alta-Vista-Ter-60613/home/13383822 But can’t tell if there’s any outdoor space to speak of… I think not. The other beauty down the street sold for $665K, originally listed at $800K just back in Sept! http://www.redfin.com/IL/Chicago/3832-N-Alta-Vista-Ter-60613/home/13383036 The fixer-upper down the block sold for $500. So what is this one worth? Does anyone even need 6 bedrooms? Thoughts?

  2. We chattered about 3825 N. Alta Vista when it first came on the market. We’ve also chattered about 3832 N. Alta Vista. In fact, we’ve chattered about nearly all the Alta Vista Terrace houses.

    One side of the street has parking, the other does not. It makes a big difference in price.

    As for the house on Bissell- can you even open your windows EVER with the El running right behind your house? Remember, the Red Line runs there and it runs almost continuously- doesn’t it?

  7. Glad your back!
    I can’t wait to see what everyone thinks about 3825 (layout? price?) everyone was pretty spot on about the last Alta Vista home selling price if I remember correctly. I missed the open house this weekend (yes I now go see houses that are out of my price range because the last 2 homes we were considering sold for over $100K less than ask!)

    The Bissell home has no windows in the back, well, they’ve been blocked over except for in the eat-in kitchen area but those don’t open and are textured. Another upstairs would have been in the shower. It has windows on the side so it’s still bright. I wonder how looooooow this one will go???? (My realtor says NO, by the way)
