It used to be that you could find nicer, solid homes in West Town (aka Ukranian Village, Wicker Park, River West) for a fairly decent price.
But price appreciation has hit everywhere.
1017 N. Marshfield is an 1899 brick home in West Town. It’s only a few blocks south of the Division Street shops and restaurants.
I don’t have the square footage, but it’s not that large, despite being a four bedroom.
Here are the bedroom sizes:

- Bedroom: 13 x 7 (second floor)
- Bedroom: 15 x 7 (on the first floor)
There is also a 13 x 11 room in the basement.

Are there any “starter-homes” left?
That looks really narrow, altho the interior photos don’t bear that out completely.
