Can you please note that this is really a two bedroom. Bedrooms that are not completely walled off, but instead are only 3 quarters the way up or have a curtain are really just open spaces with a bed. There is zero privacy with this set up.
Also, how is this neighborhood holding up with the new cha residents in the parkside of old town now at Division and Clybourn?
I’m less appalled with an open 3rd bedroom than with an open master. Make it a guest room or office or den or whatever.
$200k appreciation in 2 years? Yeah, that is totally normal….no bubble there…

While I like the unit and its “lake views” (hahaha yea whatever) It is literally across the street from the mashall field homes, I know the entrance of this building isn’t on the same side (its on the el side, woo hoo) but I wouldn’t want to live here for that price, yeah maybe around 450-500k sure but not almost 700k no way jose
We love the smell of horse manure in the morning and the sight rusted old El tracks for $669,000.

High 500s for this one. Also that assessment seems high as well for just a doorman.
The unit is nice and a couple of blocks away is a great area, but the immediate area sucks. If this sells above $500K I would be very surprised.
This particular street might be my least favorite strip of Old Town. El on one side (a really sllloooowww moving el, too), public housing on the other and a horse stable on the block to boot. That price seems nuts, especially with the bedroom situation.
This is not a pretty area of Old Town. I’ve been in units before at this location. The views were nice, but I just couldn’t get over the immediate area. As mentioned before, to the West is Marshall apartments along with a more beat up section of Sedgwick. To the East is the brown line which isn’t ever going away and also not nice. To the South – Noble Horse.
For properties around the same age – take a look at Old Town Square say on Scott just West of Wells street. Look at how much nicer the immediate area is. Its not just establishments. Its the fact that trees are planted, the sidewalk isn’t broken, nice fencing, etc.
Does that classic toilet look really odd next to such contemporary fixtures in the bathroom to anyone else or is it just me?

Parkside at Old Town has basically no effect on this location. The cha residents there are a rounding error.
