  1. I see nothing here that says “$1 million,” let alone $3 million. Very dark unit. Lots of rooms, some without windows. Ground floor. Fancy looking kitchen and nice side garden, but I wouldn’t want to live here.

    I think the co-op board handles most of the RE taxes but perhaps not all? I remember reading something about this years ago but don’t recall the details.

    They *have to*. There is only a bill for the whole thing, that gets allocated among the owners of the entity that owns the building. There is *zero* ability to appeals one’s own property taxes in a co-op in Illinois.
