    Pretty much an Ideal place for empty-nesters. Assuming that the 2nd bedroom gets its light from the glass wall and not from the Master BR

    I thought so too, until I saw the floor plan, and you can’t get to a bathroom without walking through a bedroom. Other than that, I like this place.

    Agreed, but If you flipped the bathroom & 2nd BR, you’d probably couldnt get away with calling it a BR. For an empty nester wouldn’t have been a big deal but it would probably limit your resale options.

    I’d also would have preferred the sink and DW in the island

  4. I like this place, but like I’ve said about other units nearby, it’s above Kasey’s. I wouldn’t want to hear drunk people every single night and even worse, they stand outside smoking, puffing that smoke into these condos. No thanks. I love Kasey’s (although less so since some asshat stepped on a dog’s tail and then threw a fit about how dogs shouldn’t be allowed), but I couldn’t live above it.

  5. If there were just an extra 4×6 space for a half bath of the living area…

    Could have maybe flipped the pantry door, move the 2d br door toward the windows and crammed a half bath in that space. Maybe the drain pipe over there makes that impossible.

  6. Good space for empty nesters. Even better space for a small office.
    Wonder if this is a mixed use building?

    Technically I’d say that they lost the true second bedroom status by adding that full glass wall behind the bar sink. But it is a nice layout, with good finishes, and priced ok for the area. Hope it sells soon!

    One of the coolest residential spaces in the city is located just north of this place. Look at the corner of Harrison and Dearborn St. It’s a residential unit over the starbucks that has been featured in several magazines. Really cool media/office room on the top floor surrounded by a grassy rooftop area.

  8. This place was on curbed yesterday. I really like it.

    We are thinking of downsizing and something like this would be perfect. (Second bedroom would be a den/office/guest room, so a half bath would be nice, but the lack of a powder room wouldn’t be that big of a deal)

    Assessments seem high, but they are always high in elevator buildings.

    Re: yesterday’s chatter on how long it took Fulton Market to take off… that’s really nothing compared to Printer’s Row – the first loft conversions in PR were nearly 40 years ago and it’s still kind of “up and coming”.

  12. I don’t quite understand why so many of you think this is a great floor plan. In addition to the aforementioned lack of a bathroom you do not have to go through a bedroom to access, it looks to me from the pics that the the 2nd bedroom is open to the 1st bedroom via the opening on the tops of the closets in both rooms. How is this going to work for sound barrier if you have even one snorer? You cannot close up that opening, however, because the 2nd bedroom then would have no natural light unless you open up that curtain, at which point the 2nd bedroom becomes a fishbowl. Because of these two factors, the 2nd bedroom is usable for all intents and purposes only as a den. Also, the positioning of the kitchen sink and dishwasher is such that you have to pass THROUGH the kitchen (as opposed to just pass by it) to enter the entire unit, and you are also accessing the 2nd bedroom through the kitchen. This is, in fact, one of the worst floor plans I have ever seen for a unit of this size.

  13. Sorry – I mistook the entry for the unit. You do not have to pass through the kitchen to enter the entire unit. But the entrance to the 2nd bedroom and bathroom is still through the kitchen!

  14. bizarre listing photos… never seen things so wierd… the shower on, the arizona tea can chain, the third picture… the awful pantry with the wire shelving, the two pictures of some nearby courtyard… like wtf man
