The chef’s kitchen has cherry cabinets, Viking stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and an oversized island.

It has central air and laundry on the second floor. The unit also has 1 garage spot.

The listing says its in the Nettlehorst school district.

Since May, the property has been reduced $21,000 to $999,000.

  1. Interesting unit in a beautiful building. Would be more appealing if on the second and third floors. Great layout except for a lack of storage space. Would have hoped for more vintage woodwork and the MBR FP looks a bit cheap to me. Love the outdoor space but would be better if one of the terraces was adjacent to common areas of the house. Price seems a bit high but not crazy assuming the 2015 work was of good quality which is hard to tell from the photos.

  2. Interesting address: 628 W Briar Pl Unit PENTHSE
Feels like putting PENTHSE in your address is a bit pretentious.

  3. This place is OK, I was expecting a little more for a cool million but these are the times we live in, a million bucks doesn’t buy what it used to!

  6. Maybe it’s just me, but if I was spending a million dollars in lakeview, i’d either cough up a little more money and get a SFH, or move west towards roscoe village or more north and get a SFH.

  7. 100% agree with Riz. Don’t find this neighborhood better than further northwest straight up, let alone at a premium. As long as you avoid NoCoCo of course.

  8. Can anyone explain the point of the two staircases literally across a hall from each other in MZ’s listing?

  9. Seems pricey but assessment is low and parking is included. Agree it’s a joke to call this a “penthouse.” A penthouse by definition is some sort of house on top of a high-rise building. Check 3500 N LSD, 3920 N LSD or 3300 N. LSD for examples of actual penthouses.
