  4. Just make sure the oven and the dishwasher aren’t open at the same time, and especially don’t have the dishwasher open when you’re standing at the sink! This is a terrible worse than rental quality polish salvage renovation. Then again the price reflects that, at least.

  6. “make sure the oven and the dishwasher aren’t open at the same time”

That’s definitely a big problem for me–I like to keep my to-be-washed dishes in the oven.

LOL, what about the sink? Good luck standing near the sink with that dishwasher door open

The sink v. dishwasher location seems to be a frequent problem–there are a lot of places on here that have the dishwasher open directly in front of the sink (that is, they are to the left and right of a corner). Never understand it–they need to be next to each other.

  9. Code does require the DW to be within xxx number of feat from the waste drain, too far and the DW can not adequately ouch out the waste. I’m sure building this unit to proper code was the builder’s main concern. the realy problem is the corner sink in a small kitchen. Its almost imposible to layout a decent kitchen around a corner sink when you only have a small amount of space.

This is a hack remodel so we would only expect a hack kitchen job.

  10. its nice to have the DW next to the sink so you can put disher right in without dripping on the way from the sink to the DW.

  11. The DW is fine where it is, drips only go on the counter, and there is plenty of room to stand unless your 300+.

If you have the DW and oven going at the same time, you wouldn’t be buying this place / keeping this kitchen.
