Are Luxury 2-Bedroom Brick and Timber Lofts Still Hot in Bucktown? 1750 N. Wolcott

This 2-bedroom loft in the Signature Lofts at 1750 N. Wolcott in Bucktown came on the market in July 2019.

Converted into lofts in 2001, this building has 26 units and a parking garage along with a shared rooftop deck.

This loft has 11 foot timber ceilings and exposed brick walls which have been painted white.

The kitchen has white cabinets and a wood island with a marble counter top. The rest of the kitchen counter tops are limestone.

It has gold fixtures by Waterworks and Bertazzoni and Miele appliances.

The master suite doesn’t appear to have any windows. It opens to a walk-in closet with custom cabinets and has an attached bathroom.

The second bedroom has a window and flows seamlessly, with apparently no door, into the living/dining area.

The loft has the features buyers look for including central air and washer/dryer in the unit.

One garage parking space is included and a second one is available to lease.

This building has been the hottest loft building in Bucktown over the last decade.

Will buyers still pay a premium to live here in 2019?

Terri McAuley at BerkshireHathaway KoenigRubloff has the listing. See the pictures here.

Or see it in person at the open house on Sunday, Aug 11 from 12-2 PM.

  1. Is the 2nd bedroom what is being used as a sitting/dining room? How is that a bedroom with no closet?

On a different note, there is some nice bourbon in the liquor cabinet.

    Looks like that.

2d bath must be ass, as there are no pix.

    Nice 1 bedroom apartment. A 1 bed in BT ain’t worth $600k.

  5. People need to better manage renovation budgets. While the finishes are very nice, a place like this doesn’t warrant Waterworks fixtures. They probably spent about 8k in faucets alone. Sure, go ahead and put high-end finishes in but don’t expect buyers to pay up for it.

  6. Yeah – – I think renos like this are for one’s own enjoyment and the expectation to monetize shouldn’t be there.

For one thing, the new owner isn’t going to have all this coordinating furniture and nick nacks so no matter what when these folks move out, new owner will realize they paid $6xxK for a upper $4xx 1-bed unit….

I love me some room and board furniture and loll adirondacks as much as the next person. They need to donate those chaise loungers and get some that go with the rest of the outdoor furniture 😉
