Do You Love Unique Exposed Brick Industrial Lofts? 2222 N. Racine in Lincoln Park
This 3-bedroom loft triplex at 2222 N. Racine in Lincoln Park came on the market in September 2016.
This is a 16 unit industrial building. The units are more townhouse-like, than condo-like.
This unit has loft features including exposed brick, large windows and timber ceilings. The living room has 16 foot ceilings.
The listing says there’s a “chef’s kitchen” with Viking and Subzero appliances, stone counter tops and a wine cooler.
Two of the three bedrooms are on the second floor with the master suite on the third floor.
There’s also a secluded private deck off the master suite.
This loft has central air, washer/dryer in the unit and 1-car garage parking. Not all of the units in the building have the parking spot.
Originally listed in September 2016 for $724,900, it was under contract in March 2017 but came back on in April 2017.
It has now been reduced $49,900 to $675,000.
With new construction 3-bedrooms in Lincoln Park now selling for over $800,000, is this a deal for the square footage and location?
Mark Zipperer at Re/Max Edge has the listing. See the pictures here.

why are the taxes so low on this one?
Decent enough place in a good neighborhood, I don’t like the low ceilings though, and that garage parking looks terrible but that’s probably why its priced to sell!
“why are the taxes so low on this one?”
Assessed at $361k. Would guess that there are some really low comps in the building or nearby–quite probably for unreno’d units.

I like this place. It’s more interesting than most places on the market. I bet it ends up selling for $650,000.
I really like this place! Nice layout, well appointed. Exposed beams really make it look and feel like a loft. Looks like it would be a fun place to live in.
Thanks for posting that link…now I have that damn song stuck in my head!
Nice place..that square footage on a three bedroom though…
Love the exposed wood…hat that access to the private outdoor space is via the master suite.
Also, is that master suite closed off from below??
I remember when these were converted to lofts in the early 80s. Hard to believe it still looks this good inside. Must have been redone at some point.
