This 2-bedroom townhouse at 205 W. Eugenie in the heart of Old Town came on the market in October 2019.

  1. Well, thankfully “Sproing” is gone but did expose a major weakness in this association that you would need to ensure was fixed and that is a lack of oversight / control over the commercial uses. I remember reading an article about a family with a baby living in one of these units and they could hear the instructors…..starting early in the morning with typical “3,2,1…” bonus the kid is probably great at counting down.

Nothing particularly screams “half a million here!” about this unit / finishes but to each his own I suppose. Great location.

  2. I am also super confused – – is this even a 2BR? Is there a fully enclosed bedroom anywhere? hard to say from the pictures.

Also, you ain’t raising a kid in a unit with that staircase.

  3. A lot of my friends grew up in 70’s era Lincoln Park townhouses. They haven’t aged well.

Surprisingly, the mid-century townhomes seem more attractive to me now.

  8. “This one closed for 569K back in 2017”

It was renovated though. And that makes a big difference in 2019’s market.

I believe there are two fully enclosed bedrooms on the second floor with a third “den” on the third floor.

I saw that. Maybe they suddenly got all this interest and the agent was like, “darn! I really should have left it at $530,000 because that’s what the price SHOULD be. I’ll just raise it and see if all these people now looking at it agree to pay the higher price.”
