Martha Stewart’s Blueprint Magazine 2-Bedroom Rowhouse Is Back To Try Again: 1818 N. Lincoln Ave. in Lincoln Park
We actually didn’t chatter about this 2-bedroom rowhouse at 1818 N. Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park the last time it was on the market in 2010.
I don’t know why we didn’t, but who can forget a vintage rowhouse where the listing says it was in “Martha Stewart’s Blueprint magazine”?
According to the listing, this was a gut rehab 5 years ago.
It now has top of the line appliances in the kitchen including Subzero, Miele and Thermador.
The bathrooms were renovated but kept the vintage look and features.
Both bedrooms are upstairs and there is a 22×15 family room with beamed ceiling in the lower level.
The house has the original 1879 fireplace and walnut staircase.
There is central air and a back deck but NO parking. It is rental nearby.
The current listing doesn’t have the square footage but Zillow lists it at 1020 square feet (I don’t know if that is an estimate or from an older listing.)
Originally listed in March 2010 for $765,000, it was lowered to $725,000 before being removed.
It has come back on the market at $675,000.
Given the “new” interior and the location, will this sell quickly at this new price?
Michelle Orton Loftus sat Dream Town Realty has the listing. See the pictures here.

It’s a good thing! (But not a 675k thing, unless it came furnished maybe)
The place looks much bigger than just 1,020 sq ft – and that would mean $600+ sq foot = hopeless.
Back to the 2003 price.
Also, ewwww to the drawing of the ant over the fireplace.
I’m underwhelmed.
I’ve seen better places for the money, with parking, in that area.
is she out of jail yet?
doesnt impress me
I can see a well-to-do divorced dad who thinks he’s hip buying this place, but probably not for 675k.
Ask was crazy, and probably still is. But as the great philosopher HJS said “in a world gone mad, only a lunatic is truly insane”
Nice location next the park, but could get annoying to live right next door to the New Leaf event space with its parties and valet, Perennial, whatever they turned the Days Inn into, and the Lincoln bus motoring past all the time. But since this has no parking, I suppose you can always jump on if you’re going downtown…or to Tampopo!
Got excited about the “original walnut staircase” but it was a letdown. Closet doors are very nice, though.
That bathroom looks like it belongs in a mental hospital. Yuck.
I think this would sell if it included parking. Many people really value a rowhouse w/ its privacy and its in a good location and has been gutted. If they truly gutted the systems, that’s expensive. I think it could sell for 650K if it had parking. I just don’t think people want to spend this kind of cash to not have parking.
This owner is not making any money on this.
Renovated row houses in Old Town Triangle really can go for silly money based on $$$ per sq. ft since row houses are generally narrow. See this one that sold last year and was also done well

the bathroom is brown, brilliant!
Evidentially they have received 2 offers…..
