Millennium Park 3-Bedroom Reduces Another $50K: 6 N. Michigan

We last chattered about this 3-bedroom at 6 N. Michigan across from Millennium Park in the Loop in January 2012.

See our prior chatter here.

Back then, many of you were confused by the layout (thinking it was a 2-bedroom with den) and that the finishes weren’t up to other units in the building.

If you recall, this building is in a prime Millennium Park location, directly across from the park.

This unit is in the premier Southeast corner tier with direct views of the park and lake.

It has 10 foot ceilings.

The kitchen has walnut cabinets and SubZero and Bosch appliances.

It is lacking the interior details, like curtains, that other 03 units currently on the market have, but it is also still the cheapest for sale in this tier.

At $854,000 (including one parking space), it is now listed for $210,000 below the 2008 purchase price.

How low will this go?

Kathleen Malone at @Properties still has the listing. See the pictures here.

Unit #603: 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, 1979 square feet

When you walked around dressed like this, that kind of thing has a tendency to happen: http://www.leskobooks.com/gesture.jpeg

  4. Still pretty ordinary finishes…sad considering that it faces the park and has such lovely historical details. You would think developers could do better with this kind of location.

the units i looked at were darn nice, but this one looks way way way off from what i saw.

The one we should be talking about is the wards office/ballroom unit for 4.5mil

  8. Off topic:
I’m designing a large condo kitchen and seriously considering a built- in under counter wine fridge that won’t break the bank . Any recs?

  9. ” seriously considering a built- in under counter wine fridge”

Legit wine fridge, keeping bottles at cellar temp rather than 38, or more like a beverage (beer/soda/water) fridge? Isn’t going to be largely a function of what doesn’t look wrong with the otehr appliances?

  10. Beautiful old building with wonderful views in great location. Lot’s of space, too. But it’s a very bland apartment missing the kind of details and interest something like this should have.

Still.. not a bad price for the space and location.

  12. @TftInChi I don’t dress like the actual Matthew Lesko! I am pretty well dressed and I wear lots of Tommy Bahama and Robert Graham stuff when I am going out down in the city. Otherwise, I leave it to Eddie Bauer. Plus, I am a bigger guy, so I don’t think I’d get mugged even though I have nice clothes.

Didn’t you guys read about those muggings near Michigan Ave?

  13. Beautiful building with absolutely incredible views. The units I’ve seen there all have very high end finishes throughout. Not sure why this unit is different, but it appears to be a one off. Nice amenities and roof top deck also.
