Top Floor With Parking in Lakeview: 850 W. Diversey

I heard one agent say the other day that anything priced up to $450,000 in Lincoln Park and Lakeview is selling quickly.

That would put this top floor condo at 850 W. Diversey in that category. It even has w/d in the unit and parking. And it’s near the “prime” East Lakeview neighborhood with its shops, restaurants and lake access.

It should sell quickly, right?

  1. It’s a nice rental, but does anyone really want the sloped walls? it really cuts the square footage down to 1100-1200 SF of USABLE space.

  3. Kenworthey. Where are you? I’d like yours and Sabrina’s opinion of a place. If you could email me at falco_esq@yahoo.com when you get a chance, that would be great. (G also)

  6. Honestly, who wants to live here? You live surronded by 20 -25 year olds getting drunk every night of the year. You live in an area that is chock full of renters, and you live on a street that is major busy.

I use to live in a rented slum over in the 2900 block of Mildred (not far from this place) It amazed me how people were buying 2 Million dollar homes right in the middle of the rental slums that inhabit that area. Crazy.

  7. Jason, I’m in and out (at a conference). But I would say SR and G (and Sabrina) are the best sources of real knowledge about pricing on this site. Also “Anon,” though I’m not sure “Anon” is actually just one person. So only pay attention to the sensible one. And only when he/she is being sensible.

As for my own “expertise,” it just comes from having paid close attention to the market for the past few months. And from stating my opinion more forcefully than is generally justified. 😉 But anyway, I will email you, for what it is worth.
