We chattered about this renovated 2-bedroom plus sunroom vintage courtyard unit at 2309 N. Commonwealth in Lincoln Park in April 2010.

The unit had some of its original vintage features including crown molding.

The kitchen had been updated with cherry cabinets, granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances.

While there was a washer/dryer in the unit, there was no central air and no parking (it was leased in the neighborhood.)

  1. I lived in this building for 8 years. The location is pretty awesome (1 block from Clark, 1 block from the park). The bulding was really well maintained (which helps explain the really high assessments). But as everyone knows, parking is a nightmare. $390K seems kind of high in this market but that building was the cheapest way to buy in that location.

  3. And I’ll bet the in-unit washer/dryer is located where a closet used to be! Personally, I’ll take the extra storage space with common laundromat over the alternative any day.

  7. This place is beautiful and it’s in Lincoln Park close to the lake. You can’t get a better location than this.

    The taxes seem steep, but the maintenance is reasonable for a place this size, when you consider it includes the heat.

    It still feels a little overpriced. I would have thought more like $325K for it, but it really is a beautiful unit.
