After 21 months on the market, it finally sold for $600,000 under the original list price.
Built on a 25×169 lot, the house was unique as it had an indoor pool, spa and covered lanai.
This house is just down the street from the $2.9 million house at 1424 W. Ohio we chattered about in March 2011. See that chatter here.

seems like a good pick up for someone who likes that part of town. Wasn’t fond of the interior but big lot and the pool make this a nice deal for the final sales price.

Dan, I’m afraid your anti-semitic delusions have led you astray.
I said that the pricing was consistent with the 2009 pricing of similarly sized homes, and the indoor pool is a relatively unique feature so its value is hard to gauge.
2009 was a terrible year for high-end real estate in Chicagoland, so it’s unsurprising that this property languished, since the value of such an expensive feature will be different buyer-by-buyer.
