Built in 1924-26, the Florsheim Shoe Company was one of the world’s largest shoe manufacturers. This building was designed by Alfred Alschuler.

It was converted into 100 loft condos at the height of the bubble, in 2007. There is also an attached heated garage.

It is an authentic loft with exposed brick walls and two walls of industrial windows. It has tall concrete ceilings and exposed ductwork.

This building is on Belmont and surrounded by the shops and restaurants of Avondale. It is near the Belmont blue line stop and multiple bus lines.

    Anyone thinking about buying this needs to stop listening to shills and punch themselves in the face for being dumb.

    You can rent, nicer, newer and larger for less

  3. This is a nice enough unit for the price. The kitchen and baths are dated, but the unit does have a nice industrial feel. Just wondering what the view off the balcony is.

    It’s the roof of the southern, 3-story, section of the building, along Pulaski.
