The listing says that there are new carpets and the house has been repainted.

The house is just a block from South Loop elementary and near the shops and restaurants of Printers Row.

Listed in July 2018 at $919,900, it has been reduced $20,000 to $899,900.

  3. This place obviously needs at least $50k in cosmetic updates, and then it might be a good value.

    Looking at nearby stuff to see what updated places get (no good updated comps I could find quickly), I was curious about the asking price discrepancy bt 1318 and 1324 Plymouth, which are similar sized and both of which are (unlike this one) not in basically original condition. Yet 1318 is at $1.4m, and 1324 is at $1.95m. 1324 is certainly nicer (imo) but not $500k nicer (imo).

  4. Interior looks really dated and I was hoping for a roof deck. It does seem like a nice street with lots of trees, so that’s a plus. The rooms look pretty small, though. Yes, I do think this would be a possibility for a family who wants to live in the neighborhood, but they can’t have too many things or it might feel crowded.
