Get a Pre-War 2/2 in Buena Park for Under $320,000: 4300 N. Marine Drive

This 2-bedroom in 4300 N. Marine Drive at 4300 N. Marine Drive in the Buena Park neighborhood of Uptown came on the market in October 2019.

Built in 1929, 4300 N. Marine Drive has 90 units and onsite rental parking. It has a 24-hour doorman.

This unit has tree top views along with 9′ ceilings, arched doorways and the original hardwood floors stained dark.

The listing says the kitchen has been remodeled and has modern wood cabinets, quartz counter tops and black appliances along with a wine refrigerator.

The master suite has an en suite bathroom and walk-in closet.

The listing says this unit is one of just a few in the building that has in-unit washer/dryer, in this case it is in the old hall bath.

It has radiators but doesn’t have central air. Looks like window units only.

Parking is rental from $100 to $200 a month.

Originally listed at $325,000 in October 2019, it has been reduced $10,000 to $315,000.

For vintage lovers on a budget, is this a deal?

Bryan Boomershine at @Properties has the listing. See the pictures here.

  1. Love the unit and building but no, I’m not buying on the second floor of a high rise.

  2. Definitely one of the nicer 2/2s on crib chatter – – proper separate dining and living are rare these days.

I still feel like it is over priced by a little. Great proximity to the lake but if you work in the loop that bus commute could be on the 45 minute side each way.

I wonder if noise from LSD is an issue with this unit?

Would make an excellent “in town” if the price were to come down a bit. $871 in assessments for a second floor reflects the buildings age. Wonder what the upper floors pay? Still seems like quite a lot. Has the current owner really owned this since 1994? That is also incredibly rare. Either they didn’t live there full time or this building is fantastic and noise from LSD isn’t an issue.

    Yep!

“Either they didn’t live there full time”

Appears to have been the case.

Looking at the views you see in the pix, looks like this is a SW corner unit, w/o a E facing window, so muted a bit. But the building is right on top of the southbound on-ramp.

  4. Nice enough place, but not nearly as good a deal for $320,000, as the place you featured at 3300 N LSD is for $425,000. This location isn’t as good, the unit has no outdoor space, and isn’t nearly as attractive an apartment.
