  1. I have always suspected this building had the most spectacular skyline views in the city…. and I am not dissapointed. The view alone would make up for a lot of short comings. Unfortunately, when I went to see more pics, they weren’t loading up…

  2. Small living room, leather furniture, glass table, big screen tv…It looks like my college dorm room…and on a monthly basis its about as expensive too.

  4. Nothing says the 1980’s like green leather couches…. BTW, who the hell puts mirrors on the ceiling in the bathroom?

  5. Assessments are too much when boasting a 4 million reserve.

  6. I’m as pessimistic about real estate as it gets, but if I could buy the place at $300,000 I’d do it. Everything is right about it except the dated decor which is easily replaceable.

  7. Question all:

Can you really call it “central air” when it has those no-tell motel units along the wall? Not that I know anything about no-tell motels mind you! Maybe it’s some trendy new decorating feature I am seeing in the photo.

The view though is simply ab-fab!

  8. A friend used to live in a very similar unit, high up and maybe even this tier. I think he got somewhat more when he sold in late ’06.

The apartment is small for two people, low-ceilinged, hard to entertain in, shoebox ordinary. But the lake and the park are at your front door. The neighborhood is fun and safe. Instant taxis. And the view is mindblowing.

  9. Love this building location, if I had the money this purchase would be a no-brainer. Imagine when the Spire tops out — you will see every supertall building in Chicago at the same time. Wow!

  10. I looked at a unit with the same view 9 years ago and still think about the fantastic view. The unit, however, was not impressive at all…small and limited in renovation possibilities. Also, if I remember correctly, the bathroom is miniscule in the one bedrooms.

  11. ps the assessments include heat and a/c system, so they are not out of line, really. the listing says the assessment covers “utilities.” maybe cable, too?

  12. I checked with management, cable, heat and a/c system are included in the assessment, also unit maintenance work. The office said the building has a pool and huge rooftop deck, for more views.

  13. I’d spread some 80’s LIFE Magazines and Sharper Image catalogues out on the coffee table to complete the look.

  14. I’d like to buy this place and then tell all my friends that the apartment used to belong to Jerri from Facts of Life.
