Crib Chatter is on Vacation This Week

It’s time for some fun in the sun, although with summer weather in Chicago, who needs to leave?

But it’s time to sit on the beach. This is a good time to get away as Chicago’s real estate market is very tight this spring. Inventory remains near record lows. There’s not a lot of cool properties that stay on the market for very long.

The next couple of months should be interesting.

Additionally, there are some new developments that I will be covering this summer. Buyers love “new.” Are they still jumping in even with 5.3% mortgage rates?

I’ll see you next week.

Yes, it is. Housing market was overheating. The Fed needs to slow it. Get rid of the speculators. Why do people think it’s good to have multiple offers? It’s not.

Higher rates are slowing it nationwide. Hooray!

Inventory still incredibly low. Still a sellers market.
